Our Chief Ranger, Andrew Webster from Hobsons Bay City Council is organising the second of three plantings along the Kororoit Creek saving me from having to do the same - Yay!!
This time, it is planned to plant acacia to replace many of those that had reached the end of their lives and Rhagodia along the riparian to consolidate the embankment between McArthurs Road and Barnes Road
Meeting at 10am at the bottom of McArthurs Road, Altona North on Sunday 2 July

Hope to see you there and we can have a chat after with a cuppa and snag courtesy of Council and FOLKC.
On another matter, the Creek was hit with a massive pollution spill on Thursday when an unknown Chemical Industry discharged Ferric Sulphate into the Burgess Street drain. The business is in the process of cleaning up the drain at present and I am hoping that a massive fine is given to the Company and its directors if negligence or illegal activities are proven.
The attached photos were taken at the drain in Blackshaws Road and further downstream at Barnes Road.
SAD!!
